Thurso Lifeboat

is a 150 year old lifesaver 2010.

Welcome to Thurso lifeboats website.

Established in 1860, (click here for location map) this station covers the south side of the Pentland Firth and the north coast of Scotland to Cape Wrath and been responsible for saving in excess of 600 lives during 375+ launches. Over the years there has been 11 dedicated lifeboats as well as a number of temporary ones. For a full history click on the History of lifeboat link.
